Hi, I’m Lily

About Lily Bailey

I'm Lily, a brand strategist and designer for companies that would rather be remembered than blend in. I help them find what truly sets them apart and turn it into a brand people feel.

Why I do this

The market is full of brands that look good and say nothing. Trendy aesthetics travel from one moodboard to the next, and companies end up polished, pretty and impossible to tell apart. Others play it safe on purpose, because blending in feels safer than standing out.

I don't believe in either. A brand that only follows trends fades with them, and a brand that hides in the crowd simply gets overlooked. Design without strategy is decoration, and decoration doesn't grow a business.

That's why I work with companies that aren't afraid to step forward. Brands with something real to say, and the courage to say it in their own voice.

My background

I came to branding from business first. Economics taught me to read markets, numbers and what really makes people choose one brand over another. Design gave me the language to make it visible. Today I move freely between market insights, strategy decks and sketchbooks, and every project needs all three.

Along the way I've lived the fast pace of agency life, learned print production from the ground up and led the visuals for large events like Marketing Festival and Hack Your Way. It keeps my work grounded: everything I create has to work in the real world, not only in a presentation.

Off the clock

Outside of work I'm probably optimising something else in my life. Or you'll find me with an iced matcha in hand, a metal playlist on (honestly, any genre), tickets to whatever's happening in town and a cat that always needs attention.

I care about the details of everyday life as much as about the details of a brand. The best ideas rarely come from grinding. They come from a curious, well-nourished mind, and a good tea.

What I stand for

A few principles I don't compromise on, whether it's a single logo or a complete rebrand.

Core value

Strategy first

Every colour, word and shape has a reason to be there. If I can't explain why, it doesn't make the cut.

Core value

Different, not loud

Trends come and go. I build brands that dare to step out of the crowd and earn their place by being unmistakably themselves.

Core value

Consistent everywhere

A brand only works when it tells the same story on every touchpoint, from the website to a roll of packing tape.

Core value

Calm partnership

Rebranding can feel like a big leap. I keep the process clear, honest and calm, so you always know what's happening and why.

My process

Every brand I work on grows the same way, from a small seed of understanding to something that blooms on its own. You'll always know what's happening, what comes next and when you'll see it.

  1. Roots

    Discovery

We talk about your business, your customers and your ambitions, and I study your market to find what's worth keeping and what's holding you back.

  2. Core

    Strategy

I turn what we learned into a strategy: positioning, brand attributes, distinctive codes and tone of voice. The foundation everything else stands on.

  3. Bloom

    Design

Only then do we move to design. You'll see concepts with a clear rationale, and we refine the chosen direction together.

  4. Grow

    Launch & care

Final files, simple guidelines and templates, plus support when your new brand goes live and starts its life in the real world.

Your brand's next chapter starts here.
